The consensus “Democrat to end all Democrats” du jour, Bart Stupak, hates abortion with the fury of a Pharaoh! And thanks to his precious last-minute amendment, authored by the Catholic Bishops of America — people who still believe that wafers and wine turn into the flesh and blood of Jesus Christ when ingested, even after 2000 years of human learning — abortion will be between you and the coathanger, ladies. Nicolas Sarkozy Might Have Sadly Photoshopped His Facebook Photo!

Here is your annual bit of foreign news from the foreign country of France! France’s “President”—think: the equivalent of America’s “minority whip”—Nicolas Sarkozy posted a Facebook photo on his French Facebook in which he is shown personally destroying the Berlin Wall with a Nicolas Sarkozy-sized ax. Except according to historical evidence dating back to November 9th, 1989 A.D., Sarkozy was actually in Paris at the time. According to European-style geography, it would have been impossible for Sarkozy to be both in Paris and also knocking down the Berlin Wall, located in Berlin.

Quel grand mystère!

In 1989, Sarkozy was 34 and a top official in France’s conservative RPR party.

As such, his movements were already being well-documented - a fact which appears to have escaped his memory.

Even without the council records, critics have attacked his story as dubious.

For a start his claim that he ‘decided to leave Paris’ on the morning of November 9th 1989 because he wanted ‘to take part in the event which was looming’ sounded unlikely.

Journalist Alain Aufray, of Liberation newspaper, said : ‘Nobody in Paris, not even in Berlin, could tell that the Wall was going to fall…

‘Radios and televisions in West Germany had began to describe what was happening at 8pm… It was not until 11pm that Berliners in the west began to gather infront of the border.’

By this time, Sarkozy says he was already attacking the Wall, along with Alain Juppe, another future convervative prime minister, and Fillon.

Anyway, has anyone ever told the truth about anything on Facebook? This is the same guy who also says he’s “married to” Carla Bruni.

No one was allowed to record or write anything about Sarah Palin’s big speech Friday night, but guess what, that didn’t matter. Politico’s Jonathan Martin “snuck in” and reported blood and heads rolling, everywhere, an actual depiction of Hell. At some point, Sarah Palin started complaining about some mysterious Negro force that might be ruining that form of American currency, the coin.

In addition to the suggestion that government officials would consider hastening the death of the infirm or handicapped, she began her remarks with a puzzling commentary on the design of newly minted dollar coins.

Noting that there had been a lot of “change” of late, Palin recalled a recent conversation with a friend about how the phrase “In God We Trust” had been moved to the edge of the new coins.

“Who calls a shot like that?” she demanded. “Who makes a decision like that?”

She added: “It’s a disturbing trend.”

Apparently George W. Bush called the shot like that, in 2005. We blame Africa anyway!

Now listen, Joe Lieberman doesn’t want to ascribe any motives to Nidal Malik Hasan. “It’s premature to reach conclusions about what motivated him,” Lieberman very reasonably said on some Fox News teevee something or other last night. But! But! Lieberman will say this: Hasan was a “self-radicalized, homegrown terrorist” who “had turned to Islamist extremism.” He will say that. Islamist extremism: or perhaps you might recognize it by its street name? “TERRORISM“, also “bennies,” “black beauties,” “crystal,” “Sy Hershey kisses,” and “pep pills.” Anyway, Lieberman intends to launch some congressional investigation, because that’s what he does, and because that will get to the root of this terrorism once and for all.
